Thanks Emmanuelle! But how we Marie Curie not a polymath? She received two Nobel prizes in two different fields (chemistry and physics). Very few people have done this.

Also, I would add that I think of different levels of being a polymath:

  • Bridging between domains (ie — personal and business)
  • Bridging between sectors (ie — business and science)
  • Bridging between disciplines (ie — chemistry and physics).

Although, Marie Curie didn’t jump between sectors, she jumped between disciplines.
