Great points!

A question I have been thinking about is...

What would the ideal humanistic productivity system looks like?

By humanistic productivity I mean:

1. Actually makes us more productive (in ways we care about).

2. Something we enjoy the process of.

3. Something that allows us to express different parts of ourselves

4. Something that allows us to balance different parts of our life.

5. Something that allows us to meet fundamental human needs at work (mastery, purpose, autonomy, curiosity, passion)

I do feel like there is a big opportunity to reinvent how we think about productivity. At the same time, to do that, my point in this article is that we should learn from the past and not ignore its lessons.
