Regarding how to go outside of one's field, I recommend...

1. Reading books by polymath who naturally synthesize multiple fields and who are good at explaining things in layman's terms (ie - Nassim Taleb, Charlie Munger, Jordan Peterson, etc).

2. As I share in the article, I think investing models are a great place to go to since we are all investors.
