Yes, I agree. I think part of being a successful polymath is putting yourself in environments that benefit from that tendency.

At the same time, I don’t think “white collar” work is the main factor per se. For employees, I think the conduciveness probably has more to do with the culture of the company you’re being hired at, the seniority of the position, what the position is, and even the specific industry.
